nice dog park.
Great shuttle to beach saved 20 dollar parking fee at beach. Shuttle cost $ 1 dollar each way, after 6 $2
Pool and hot tub nice to have but on a busy day...pool was too small and often too full. Splash park was fun for little ones.
Professional polite and helpful staff. Clean Campground. My cabin was clean and comfortable. Nice and cheaper alternative to getting a hotel with the benefit of being able to have a campfire after my day was done
Cabins looked really nice but we didn't get one.
The convenience and safety for the customers were extremely poor. At the time to check in the reception desk, I tried to go to the reception desk and hit a transparent glass door, so I got my neck hurt. No one in the staff asked me if I was okay. Other guests worried that I was okay. There were no instructions to pay attention to the door. Some of the other guests kept bumping into the door, but the employees did not pay any attention.
Movie night for kids was cancelled both times. Not that this is huge but kids looked forward to it.
LOVE THIS PLACE!! We love camping here in the RV. If you are out camping and want a great place to stay then hit them up!! They have a pool, Hot Tub and Great camping sites.
Do not lose the honor of the KOA. It was the worst experience among the almost 30 KOA campgrounds I have visited. Camping is a means of making money, and there is little rest and private space. The side of each cabin, tent, and RV site were directly attached and uncomfortable. Take another KOA or KOA in Quebec to see how bad you are.
There was one rude lady...but staff over all friendly.
The deliver wood and food but we didn't try food.
Would come again
Sorry, is it so hard to ask if it's okay? It will not stop to criticize this terrible place like garbage. I will never again.
Sites are good size, however we were tenting and our site was all stones. Ouch! You can hear the highway from our site at ALL hours. I understand that's out of their control. Just good for you to know.
All-in-all I was very happy with our stay here. It was definitely cheaper than staying in a hotel in the city and it had the added bonus of peace and quite and of being able to sit around a fire at night with a couple of beers. My only complaint with the location is it's proximity to industrial buildings. Right around 8am everything starts to get a bit noisy, but it really wasn't really that bad. If anything it actually worked to help get you up at a reasonable time.
There was a nice-looking cafe on the grounds that does simple breakfast stuff and lunch stuff, but we didn't eat there since we brought eggs and bacon for breakfast and we were going into the city for lunch and dinner, but I did get coffee there and it was pretty good and came with free refills.
Parts of the park felt and looked like a trailer park, but luckily the part we were in was nicely wooded and grassy and didn't feel cramped or bland. The staff were all really nice and informative. The shower and bathroom facilities were very clean, easily accessible, and well maintained. It was a nice addition that the showers were free, considering everything else seemed a bit pricey. $8.00 for a bundle of firewood is a bit much, but they do deliver it directly to you cabin. There's a nice general store where you check in that has ice and other camping supplies. Again it was all a little pricey, but nothing was so expensive that you were shocked. It's just obvious that everything has a premium attached to it.
We stayed here for a couple of nights while visiting Portland. Our cabin was nice. The cots were surprisingly comfortable to sleep on. Despite being packed in very close together it was very quite and peaceful. I was a bit annoyed with the severe lack of seating. There was a deck swing that could seat two people and a picnic table by the fireplace. There was no seating inside the cabin except for the bed in the front room or the bunks in the back room. If it was me, I would get rid of the massive bed in the front room and put a table and chairs with a futon bed in there instead. I also felt like the bunks in the back room could have been wider and taller considering how much empty space there was in the middle.
Bathrooms were clean, however toilets did not flush a lot of the times.
The biggest problem was the poorest and aggressive attitude of the employees. While I was parked for check out, an employee told my wife that another car had to come in, He yelled that our car had to be moved out. I protest why he made a noise during check out, but they urged to me to leave out immediately. Can not I go to the bathroom and go to the mart after check out? Is that rules? During aruements, we also got racist remarks by employees.
