Customer service was horrible !! The attendant was very short and sarcastic.. I felt as if I was treated that way because I wasn't spending a thousand dollars there..I also had to return a part that he said would fit and was correct and wasn't...he said I was wrong and didn't want to argue with me???!!!!!! I was not arguing ? Just stating the fact it was the wrong part...both trips to the store will make sure I will never go back and not recommend
I highly recommend this store!
I'd also like to mention that in addition to hooking me up with the right bike, the staff also hooked me up with a variety of riding groups. They truly encourage people to get out there and enjoy riding!
If you're looking for a bike, this is the place to get it. I just recently purchased a bike from the Saco location. The manager paired me with a bike that suited my needs perfectly. It was clear that the staff's goal was to make sure that the bike I purchased would be the right fit for my riding ability and the terrain I planned on riding. Since then, we have bought a number of bikes for our other family members and have been just as happy. When something isn't working quite right on the bike, the service is fast and friendly.
This staff is quick in offering support in any cycle matters. Always a pleasant experience entering this store, understanding that I will receive highest level of cycle knowledge and professionalism.
When it comes to local bike shops you can have the greatest bikes and the largest assortment of parts and accessories, but the people make the difference. Most local bike stores will treat you wonderfully when spending the big dollars on a high end bike however tend to forget you're face or name the second you ride out the front door. Gbs is different in this way, whenever I pop in to grab a new set of grips or even just to fill a water bottle from their tap they remember my name, ask about local trail conditions where I ride and ask how I've been. It's refreshing to deal with people like Dave Albert and Jon Foster who ride the places I ride and care enough to share their passion with even the newest riders.
I recently purchased a new Specialized Stumpjumper at the Saco store. I told the salesman all about how and where I ride, type of terrain etc. He listened and asked smart questions to narrow down my decision on what bike would work well for me. He showed me the options in the catalogs, compared manufacturer's and components and then he made a recommendation. I followed all of his recommendations and bought the exact model he suggested. The only decision I made was the color of the bike. And the bike is awesome! It's better than I hoped for. Even though the shop was busy he took his time with me and I never felt rushed or pressured. I've had the bike back in the shop a couple times for a new bike adjustment and to have the tires set up tubeless. Both times I was in and out quick without issues and they crew is all about talking bikes and riding. Thanks Kory and Riley for a great experience. I tell everyone to check you out.
