The Saco Police Department have ALWAYS been there when I've needed them. From a fish head being left at a local park, to assisting me when my home was broken into. No crime is to small, they don't make you feel as though your reports are unnecessary and always show up within 5 mins of a call. Great group of people. Thank you for serving and protecting!!
My neighbors Dog was hurt and they helped my get a hold of the owner for permission to take him to the vet.
Dispatch is not as helpful as they should be depending on who you get. Some just treat citizens w disrespect bc they dont seem to want to be there. Sad really. But glad for those who are helpful and courteous to the citizens.

They are the heartbeat of our community. Along with the fire department, they have many members who have decades of experience, have deep roots here and work professionally and diligently to keep the community safe. They quietly conduct their business, without fanfare and avoid attracting attention to themselves. They have a myriad of nasty issues to settle, all while keeping the community safe and not bringing unwanted attention, nor needlessly scaring the community. It is awesome to see them patrolling all over the vast community all while watching out for those with ill intent. With a huge summer influx of tourists and summer residents, they are kept crazy busy keeping us safe, especially in the summer. It's nice that the community respects them as much as they respect our community. They also work in tandem with local communities, other first responders, schools, businesses, and state troopers, many who reside in our bucolic city to keep abreast of issues that affect our community. They are our very finest.
