I always enjoy going here, and have done for five or six years. The food is definitely uncomfortably expensive, but the environment, the atmosphere, the people and the purpose of the place are all amazing. Make sure to visit if you're looking to spend a week on vacation in Maine--just make sure to reserve a spot in one of the conferences.
This place appears to be a UU retreat, but we didn't feel uncomfortable staying here as non-Christians. Everybody was exceptionally nice.
This is a campground (that was unclear to me from the Google Maps description, so I'm clarifying it here). It is just next to a beautiful beach. There is a dining hall with good food, an ice cream shop, a playground, and fields. The whole thing is significantly better than your typical KOA for the same price. We stopped here while bicycle touring and were glad we did.
Acceptance no judgement. Heaven.
My son and his entire 5th grade class were set to spend 3 days at the Ecology School and the event was suddenly cancelled due to intervention from the Ferry Beach Park Association. Can you please explain why this took place and how this is reconciled with the Association's professed mission?
This place is beautiful and a great place for retreats. Different levels of accommodations at different price points; from hotel room style to tent camping.
